Tips & Strategy of English Section ( Part II )

Part –I : Vocabulary

This part contains very important part in SSC CGL Tier –II Exam. But it is not easy task to get decent marks in this part. For this part You have to learn daily practice from quizzes we have already provide for SSC Exams.
Problem Faced by Candidates:
Problem 1: One of the biggest problems with vocabulary learning is that what’s ‘learned’ today is often forgotten tomorrow. Retaining the learned words becomes a major issue with the candidates.
Problem 2: Learning vocabulary takes time and it can be a mistake to force the process. If you try to learn too many words too quickly, you can end up only confusing yourself.
Problem 3: Another problem faced by candidates is to decide which words are worth learning.
To overcome this problem of finding new words daily which are important for the upcoming competitive exams, you can follow the Word-list provided by us on Daily Basis. Follow the Daily Word list and have the battle is won.
Idioms and Phrases
idiom is a phrase or fixed expression that sometimes has meanings. A figurative meaning can be different from logical meaning.
  • If you see idioms in context, try to understand the context as it all depends on vocabulary
  • Try to remember idioms through images; this will help you remember them by seeing the pictures in your mind.
One Word Substitution
(i) Sum up all the one word substitutions from the previous year books and learn them to score good in English section.
(ii) I have already given many quizzes on these topics which are from previous year papers. So you must attempt this from here
Spelling Mistakes
From this topic you can easily get all the marks in your pockets. You just learn some rules for spelling errors which is very important to have an understanding of the usage of spellings in English Grammar.
